Writing in your classroom with Google Docs

Using Google Docs to improve the writing process within your classroom

Anyone who has taught or participated in a writing lesson an elementary classroom knows its a tedious multi-step process. The writing process often takes upwards of several weeks to complete. Teachers run into a ton of road blocks including but not limited too students leaving for pullout sessions, staff/ student absences, students loosing work, and lack of time to provide feedback to students etc. Using Google Docs eliminates a lot of these issues and best of all its FREE.

Mine is ChoiceBoard Creator and here is why- it allows you to create customizable choice boards for learners with communication needs. It is so simple that it only takes minutes to learn or train staff how to use this app. The photo library is not limited. Users can download or take their own pictures! This must be expensive right?! Wrong it's FREE

Cool Skype partnership with the publisher Penguin. The offer several authors to Skype and coordinating lesson plans. Seems like there may be a free option. I emailed and about pricing. I'll post as soon as I hear back.
